Dauphin Shipyard Pte Ltd is a fully integrated shipyard with a strong focus in shipbuilding, ship repair and other marine related services, catering to customers from around the world.

 

1942 Dauphin Shipyard’s parent company, Thian Seng Engineering, was founded Mr. Thian Jin Siong in Clarke Quay.
1960 Thian Seng Engineering was awarded service contract by shipping companies such as J. P. Roed, Wallard & Coast and Borneo Shipping for servicing and repair of Ocean going vessels.
1968 The company expanded its operation scale and relocated to Jurong Industrial Workshop. In the same year, Mr. Thian Kim Hoe’s (son of founder of Thian Seng Engineering) quest for innovation was awarded a British Patent Right for the invention of the Gravel Pump Transmission which was used to increase mining efficiency in the South East Asia Tin mining industry.
1969 Due to the intensive oil exploration programs in South East Asia by foreign conglomerates, Thian Seng Engineering seized the opportunity and focused on servicing and floating repair of oil exploration support vessels.
1972 Thian Seng Engineering relocated to a bigger premise in Shipyard Road with a waterfront and a slipway to enable full servicing and repairing of vessels.
1980 Thian Seng Engineering finally settled into its current location in 23 Tuas Road, with new and improved infrastructure.

At the same time, Dauphin Shipyard Pte Ltd was incorporated to cater to a broader range of customers, with facilities for marine & heavy engineering, ship building, ship maintenance, ship repair and international trade.

2005 Dauphin Marine Pte Ltd was incorporated to venture into the business of ship management.
2007 Dauphin Marine Pte Ltd ventures into custom made super yachts ranging from 35 metres to 80 metres and onwards. A sales office was set up at the Riviera in San Remo, Italy. 

Dauphin Shipyard Pte Ltd has changed its company name from Dauphin Offshore Engineering & Trading Pte Ltd to better refect its nature of business.

2009 Dauphin Shipyard Pte Ltd  became a member of  the International Superyacht Society.
